I%26#039;m 15 and after havin%26#039; %26quot;optionB%26quot;(ugly hurtin teeth) I decided to go with %26quot;option A%26quot; after a lot of them got loose and I lost a couple front teeth. What would you pick? Why? Oh yeah, no dental coverage so not havin much money we didn%26#039;t have a lot of choices that were anything like affordable. Hope to get some fake teeth in the spring maybe.
If you were a high school girl, would you rather go toothless or have ugly buck teeth that hurt all the time?
I%26#039;d have all my teeth pulled too if i was in pain. a toothache is the worst. By having them pulled you give yourself the option of dentures down the road. That will be a huge improvement. As for not having dental insurance, my ex%26#039;s sister had the same thing done and went to south carolina for false. They were really cheap there. Being so young, if your parents aren%26#039;t making really good money you may be able to get medicaid. In michigan, it covers dental up til the persons 21
Reply:i would get them all taken out and just put money back to get some he looks good for you
Reply:I would go toothless and wouldnt care if people made fun of me because my dad always told me that if people make fun of you that they are just jelous your teeth will grow back soner or later and I would reather or toothless than be in pain for a long time!

When getting braces, does it hurt? Do i need to take out teeth?(I have buck teeth on the top)?
overcrowded teeth on the top only not the bottom. bottom is fine
also i have one tooth that is slightly up ( its not striaght with the other ones)
i want to know if it hurts when you get braces and when does it hurt? also if invisalign an option for me?

I wouldn%26#039;t call it %26#039;pain%26#039; more like %26#039;discomfort%26#039;. You can take Tylenol for the pain after they attach the wire, and when they adjust the wire. Make sure you get the dental wax and put it on right after they%26#039;ve put the bands and/or wire on. I.E. use the wax before the metal hurts your cheeks. Also, follow the instructions on what foods you should avoid. And clean your teeth well - get the dental floss threaders so you can still floss under your braces. Brush after every meal and snack - having braces really makes you aware of what you eat and drink.
Just remember - it%26#039;s worth it. You don%26#039;t want to have dentures when you get older. :-)
Reply:when they tighten the braces it is kind of painful. invisaligns break easy if you%26#039;re not careful.
Reply:i think you might be able to get invisalign.
braces hurt only at the beginning, because your jaw is adjusting.
so you%26#039;ll have to eat soft foods and your jaw will ache.
they might take some teeth out in the back, depending on the structure of your mouth and the locations and stuff.
but after awhile, you%26#039;ll get used to it.
Reply:you may have to get a tooth pulled but the rest should be able to get corrected with braces. Invisalign may look better but I don%26#039;t know if it actually works as well as metal braces.
Reply:If your mouth is over crowded then yes you will need 2 teeth out either side of the top. I had four out and it didn%26#039;t hurt but it all depends on the dentist.
The brace does hurt for the first week or so and whenever you get it tightened for a day. You can%26#039;t eat much but it is sooo worth it. After the first two weeks or so you%26#039;ll be back to eatng normal foods and it%26#039;ll all be back to normal and you just get used to it and forget it%26#039;s there.
Reply:Braces only hurt when they first get put on and you cant eat for like 3 days and then after that they are sore for like a week but after you get over that then they are so fine- liek you dont even notice them
and i think al,ost everyone can have invisalign but it costs way more and sometimes looks ugly cos it is just lads of metal in your mouth as it is not as invisible as they like to think :P
Reply:For me it didn%26#039;t hurt that much. They don%26#039;t give you pain meds. or numbing stuff. It is boring though because it takes about 2 hours.
Reply:Invisiline is only for people with minor corrections to make. Braces are a big commitment and they hurt some more than others. I have braces myself and getting them on didn%26#039;t hurt just when they are tightened. Most places will give you a free consultation thou.
Reply:braces are not as bad as they sound...sure your teeth are sore for couple of days but the pain goes away and sometimes i forget that i even have braces. well i had overcrowding on my top teeth and two adult teeth removed and i was terrifyed but it was over before i knew it. the tooth that is slightly up will get fixed by the pressure from your braces. invasalign is an option open to you but i wouldnt recommend it because when i talked my orcthodontist she said you would have more pain with invisaligh because you would be tempted to take them off when you are sore. invasailgn would also mean you would be wearing braces longer because you do not have constant pressure. my opinion is stick with braces...i got mine a couple of months ago and seriously dont believe when people tell you they are horrible because they are not as bad as they sound!
Reply:Well i just got braces on Wednesday and surprisingly it didn%26#039;t hurt that bad it was uncomfortable and a little bit of pain here and there they feel really weird when you first get them but all in all it%26#039;s not that bad. If you do get them cut everything into smaller pieces so you don%26#039;t chock or wreck your braces.
Reply:You probably shouldnt get teeth removed, the wire will move them apart enough to make room for them to be straightened.
They dont hurt, more uncomfortable than anything else. Spacers that you get before your braces hurt, but you wont have those long. When you get them tightened theyll hurt some but only for a day or so.
If your teeth are pretty straight invisalign may be an option, you really have to talk to your ortho about that.

When i put lipstick on it goes on my teeth and i dont have buck teeth?
well yesterday i was oin the store and i was wearing lipstick and it got all over my teeth ewww!!!
When i put lipstick on it goes on my teeth and i dont have buck teeth?
Make a small %26quot;O%26quot; shape with your mouth, slide your index finger in, then out. It will remove any lipstick that will stain your teeth.
Reply:Try putting just a little bit of Vaseline on the front of your teeth...if that doesn%26#039;t work, just make sure you check in the mirror before you go anywhere!
Reply:Get some lip sealant.
Cover Girl makes a brand of lip gloss called Outlast, but you can buy the sealant separately in drugstores. It%26#039;s clear and usually will come in a blue or silver tube. It will prevent your lip color from going anywhere, even your teeth.
I use it all the time, and my lipgloss/stick will last all day. Seriously.
Reply:probably your putting to much on or you lick your lips too much...or clear gel lipstick so that the color stains won%26#039;t show
Reply:After you apply the lipstick, place your index finger in your mouth. Lightly close your mouth around your finger. Now pull your finger out. Any excess lipstick that would go on your teeth is now on your finger.
Reply:here%26#039;s a tip to keep the lipstick off of your teeth: when you put it on, take your index finger and kind of just put your lips around it....not really sucking but just rub it on the inside part of your lips and it%26#039;ll get any lipstick that could possibly get on your teeth! i know it sounds crazy and it%26#039;s kinda hard to explain, but just try it!
Reply:Well my friend put a piece of paper under her top lip as she is putting lipstick on it prevent it from getting on your teeth.

Would you call a girl hot if she had buck teeth?(guys)?
there is this really pretty girl that is my friend and the only thing wrong is that she has big teeth. she has never had a boyfriend.
so does this matter to you?
Would you call a girl hot if she had buck teeth?(guys)?
Yeah, There was this chick at the place where I used to work who had some big *** front teeth. But she was like super hot. She had an incredible body and a really pretty face. And she used to put her hair up in these pigtails sometimes, super hot, they were like handle bars. Oh my god, I%26#039;ll be back in like 15 minutes.
Reply:lock at Buck from flavor of love, she has a boyfriend now
Reply:It matters a little bit but I put more emphasis on personality than teeth.
Reply:I try not to judge people by their teeth seeing how I have a gap.
Reply:I wouldn%26#039;t If I were a guy...she wouldn%26#039;t deserve it

Is it true that some guys think buck teeth are kinda sexy?
I%26#039;m curious about what guys really think about a girl (high school age)with teeth that stick out a lot.
Is it true that some guys think buck teeth are kinda sexy?
Guys at that age can be kinda shallow, but really a girl%26#039;s personality is what matters. Looks are gonna fade with age, and all that is left is WHO they are. Don%26#039;t let any of those guys who have yet to grow up get you down.
Reply:Just make sure you cover them with your lip when you go to work.
Reply:I really do not know the answer to that one. I%26#039;ve never really given it any thought. I would suppose that there are in fact some men / boys who would fined that very sexy / attactive.
Reply:It would depend on if your teeth matched your face. There was a girl I knew in college who had a gap in her two front teeth. I used to think it made her look cute but she hated it.
Be warned here I am about to use a cliche but beauty is in the eye of the beholder.
Reply:I%26#039;m not sure what guys really think, but I%26#039;d go with the dentures girl. You won%26#039;t be sorry. I got a full set when I was 14 and my bf loves it.
Reply:I%26#039;ve heard of gaps, but not bucked teeth
Reply:if the personality and attitude is there, nothing else will be seen......
Reply:don%26#039;t care, thick lips like angelina jolie would be a great turn on!

I have an underbite and two front buck teeth.?
I cant chew with my front teeth or my bottom jaw. Im going to the dentist on the 16th, What are they going to do with me?
I heard they break jaws or something....
I have an underbite and two front buck teeth.?
%26quot;Buck teeth%26quot; usually implies overbite. Do your lower teeth stick out infront of your upper teeth when you bite? Or is it the other way around? Overbites are usually easier to correct with orthodontics (braces). Mild underbites can also be corrected but if they are severe, sometimes, yes, it is necessary to break the jaw, and sometimes even to remove a portion of jaw bone (this would be done at a maxillofacial surgeon or oral surgeon%26#039;s office, not at the dentist). At your dentist appointment they will simply assess you: Take impressions (molds of your teeth) and a panoramic xray (that goes all the way around your head) as well as a cephalometric xray (photo of entire skull from the side to look at your profile and take measurements) there will be no breaking of bones at this appointment. It%26#039;s possible, from your description, that you may have an %26quot;open bite%26quot;.....where you cannot touch the front teeth together and you can push your tongue through the space. When young kids have this condition (age 6-8) it sometimes helps to hold a grain of rice behind that back front teeth with the tongue to get the tongue used to touching the roof of the mouth before a swallow (as opposed to sticking it out between the teeth). This helps to move the erupting adult teeth into proper occulsion. This is also sometimes a difficult misalignment to re-align simply with braces in individuals who have all of their adult teeth (typically by age 13 with the exception of wisdom teeth). If your dentist does some orthodontics in their office and they consider you for braces that they are putting on themselves, then your case is likely uncomplicated and %26quot;fixing%26quot; your teeth will be a breeze. They may refer you to an orthodontist who is the braces expert which is where most people get their braces put on. Most people who need braces do not need to have bones broken to fix their bite. However, sometimes there is just no way around it if you want to have a result that you are happy with/good functionality. One of the greatest joys in life is chewing so having your teeth aligned for proper function is very important. Plus, properly aligned teeth and jaws give you a more natural looking facial profile and allow you to process your food more thoroughly which equals better absorption of nutrients from your food. Hopefully, I%26#039;ve answered your question?
Reply:My daughter had the same thing and what they did is place an expander under her tongue to push her jaw out and put an expander on the roof of her mouth. Her mouth was sore for a week. There is a key that you put in your mouth, like a straightened out paper clip that fits into a hole in the roof of the mouth expander and it allows you to move the expander of a rotation of 1/4 turn. It doesn%26#039;t hurt. Eat jello and mashed potatoes the first week. Kind of sore to chew but the pressure goes away pretty quickly and then its a piece of cake. Later expect the braces and bands. Again, not a big deal. Then there is the retainer. That%26#039;s about it.
Reply:Ok, I have 2 friends who used to have that problem.
1of them got braces and she still has them. She says she%26#039;s getting them off next year.

Would you rather be stuck with goofy looking buck teeth the rest of your life, or no teeth at all?
I chose no teeth for me.
Would you rather be stuck with goofy looking buck teeth the rest of your life, or no teeth at all?
Buck teeth are fixable. No teeth are not. You either get dentures or dental implants. I love my dental implants but let me tell you even though they are the best we have for replacement of teeth they are not the same as having ones wonderful own teeth. I say get them fixed.
Reply:No teeth, can have false teeth made but then a good dentist can fix buck teeth.
Reply:If your so buck tooth that you can climb a mountain with your hands tied behind your back, then I would prefer no teeth.
Reply:I would choose buck teeth because they can be fixed eventually. If you have no teeth then you have to get false ones which is not the same to me.

I have what some would call buck teeth...reason for not being able to "nab" a guy?
They%26#039;re not terribly hillbilly, haha. When my mouth is closed, I look just fine. However, when I open my mouth, it%26#039;s apparent I have a less than perfect set of chompers. I%26#039;m by no means a dog-faced girl, myspace is .com/the_alchemy_of_cinema if you want to judge for yourself. Can%26#039;t find your profile but i doubt its your teeth. I quite like women who have those kind of mouths. Sounds more like your friend is a little insecure.

You can get financial help to pay it of over time......go to capitolone.com/dental
Reply:depends on the severity of it....u will have to get braces, which are typically a few thousand dollars..depending on if u have insurance.

Reply:hey relax mate.
u need`nt get worked up over....
u need to go to a good dentist. get an estimate. check everything.. not just braces... check fillings rootcanals. crowns the works.
now that you know what work you need and the estimate... make a list of good dentists in your area check the estimate with each of them... the one with the moderate pricing would be the one for you... dont go for the lowest or the highest...

Any way to straighten slightly buck teeth OTHER than braces?
Would habitually apply pressure using my thumb to my 2 front teeth help set them back over a long period of time? They%26#039;re little about a few milimetres forward, look a tiny bit rabbity. Anything I can do other than braces?
Any way to straighten slightly buck teeth OTHER than braces?
I would try Invisalign, they are clear invisible braces. I%26#039;ve heard a lot of great things about them. I would not think a retainer would work, because a retainer does not move your teeth, it prevents them from moving. Usually after braces you wear a retainer because your teeth shift. If you are worried about the way braces look, they do have lingual braces. These are just regular braces, but they fit behind the teeth so they are totally invisible. They can correct bites that in some cases invisalign cannot. I would go get a free consultation so they can give you your options. Hope i helped a little!
Reply:Try invisilign. Other than that, only actual braces would help.
A retainer won%26#039;t work, FYI. They%26#039;re meant to RETAIN the results you get after braces. They don%26#039;t actually do anything to fix your teeth. Do yourself a favor and don%26#039;t listen to anyone who%26#039;s still in high school/middle school. Kids don%26#039;t know jack, though they%26#039;d like to think they do.
Reply:A retainer could help, i%26#039;m sure. Or they always have invisalign.
Just pushing on your teeth for a few minutes probably won%26#039;t do much. I%26#039;d say see an orthodontist to see what he thinks could be done. Chances are a simple retainer will do the trick.
Reply:Get a plastic retainer (not the metal retainer)
i have 1 of those
xx
Reply:invisalign. its a product that you wear on your teeth. a tray... and it is supposed to fix over bite and straighten teeth just like braces do...
Reply:u can have thm pulled and hav fake ones but other than that thers nthing u can do euther wat i sugested or braces somtimes a retainer but thn ull have to get braces
Reply:Put a little rubberband across them, anchoring it to the premolars. Get those little clear rubberbands for people%26#039;s hair. I know someone who did this and it actually worked, he kept wearing this rubberband thing for weeks or even months and eventually his teeth stayed that way.
Reply:You could wear a plate./..
Reply:Dentists will sometimes prescribe use of a tongue depresser to apply gentle pressure to move teeth in a particular way. Much depends on the geometry of your teeth in your mouth, which needs to be evaluated by a competent practitioner.
Typically, teeth will move to a point where there is room for them to fit. If you are trying to push them someplace where there is insufficient space, then you will also be pushing on adjacent teeth. Braces will coordinate all of the movement. If there is no room, you might require extraction.

Reply:%26quot;Buck Teeth%26quot; is a layman term for upper front teeth (incisors) that rest on the lower lip (labially) visibly when the mouth is closed (is in resting postural position). These teeth are %26quot;flared%26quot;, that is, protruding forward from their %26quot;normal%26quot; position in the occlusion.
The teeth you describe, during resting position they appear longer than what you%26#039;ve learned to expect, is called an overbite, where the incisors rest in a way that they may work to hide the lower (mandibular) dentition (teeth), sometimes even past the lower gum line. This configuration is not a matter of the incisors protruding forward but, rather, due to uppers continuing to grow downwards until these teeth are completely covering the mandibular dentition.

I had REALY bad buck teeth from being youg up intil about a year ago (when I was 15 Years Old)?
So all my school photographs and holiday photos and photos with my friends have my teeth looking awful on them. What I was wondering is when I get a boyfriend (a serious one) and we look at each others photos..how would they react to these old pictures!??
I had REALY bad buck teeth from being youg up intil about a year ago (when I was 15 Years Old)?
You look at pictures of how you used to look and laugh.. and if people take the mickey you laugh and agree because you know you looked silly. I%26#039;ve never met anyone who fell out because of what they used to look like as a kid.
Reply:i wouldn%26#039;t show those photos unless i wanted to know how vain he is. people always want to show how far they%26#039;ve come, because of their pride, which is understandable. but if you do it too early on in the relationship people tend to focus on what that person used to be like, and it can distort things a bit.
Reply:Don%26#039;t worry, Ken Dodd and Esther Ransome made a fortune with their prominent teeth, nobody laughs at them. well Ken Dodd apart. But you know what I mean buck teeth can be very appealing.
Reply:just laugh about it. He will be interested in the person you are and shouldn%26#039;t be bothered about how you looked when younger. Its a shame people put so much emphasis on what they look like . Some really good looking people have personalities like dead fish. I would rather be with someone open hearted and good natured. good luck to you.
Reply:Old photographs of anybody always raise a smile, buck teeth, stupid expression, bad hair......we all have them and nobody cares very much it seems about anyone else%26#039;s because they know their own are just as bad if not worse - don%26#039;t waste any more time worrying about this.

My 2 front teeth are longer and wider than the rest of my teeth. Is there any way I can make them more even with the other teeth?

Go and get them shaved down. Any general dentist can do this. You can only shave off so much though. If it still bad, where you dont like it, they can talk to you about other options like crowns.

how old are you to be worrying about your looks like this. you said you still have baby teeth, you%26#039;re still growing. you%26#039;ll be fine
Reply:how old are you? .... your teeth will grow out i think, do to a dentist for help. for your hair just grow it out . wear headbands to make it look cute and if its curly use mouse or gel, and always use conditioner. dont tan you sound too young
Reply:just be your self!!!!no one should care what you look like because its what inside that counts!!!!!!mabey there is a guy who likes you so if you change the way you look he may not like you!!!!!!just be your self and stand up for yourself!!!looks dont matter!!!!!!!!!if anyone thinks you look ugly, just say:im ugly and im proud!!!!they will hate it when you dont get upset when they say that!!!trust me it works!!!!!
Reply:Be glad you didn%26#039;t need a costume for haloween,Howdy Doody.
Reply:Ask your dentist what they think about your teeth and what they can do for you. It sounds like your teeth aren%26#039;t done growing in yet so don%26#039;t worry about them yet. For your hair try cute accessories or maybe if you don%26#039;t like the color you can try dying it. Don%26#039;t worry your hair will grow out soon. Don%26#039;t worry about getting a tan yet, you should try some of the tanning stuff in a bottle but make sure it doesn%26#039;t turn your skin too dark or orange. You can also try dark cover up to make your skin look darker but make sure to rub it in.
Reply:Snipper, you shouldn%26#039;t be calling someone howdy doody. This is
a young person concerned about her looks and if you can%26#039;t
give a positive answer then don%26#039;t say anything ok ? You should be here to try and help people, not make fun of them.Have a heart. It really upsets me when people give a sarcastic answer
or poke fun.People are asking for help here so try and give a
decent answer.
Reply:Get red hair exstentions at a hairsalon , invisible braces or regular ones, depends on how many freckles you have. Too get less don%26#039;t sit in the sun too long wear lots of sunscreen.

Dont sweat it lots of people in middle school have braces and buckteeth dont worry.
Reply:the braces will help put your teeth in place and don%26#039;t worry about them ,as the braces seem to be the in thing these days
Reply:Honey, you aren%26#039;t the only one worried about starting middle school - just about all the other kids are worried too. And I%26#039;ll bet good money alot of them will be wearing braces too. Look to the future %26amp; your beautiful smile which is an important element in attractiveness today.
Reply:oh don%26#039;t worry
alot of kids in middle school are going to have or be getting braces
plus once u get ur braces one the first wire they put in ur mouth is going to change your teeth alot
trust me i had braces once and in the first week your teeth change alot (i mean ALOT)
so trust me and don%26#039;t worry about it
plus you won%26#039;t have to worry about ur braces in your latter years of high school, so that is a good up side to it as well
Reply:Braces = straight, nice teeth, which is pretty much a writ of passage in the US.
Reply:well i think is is ironic because i just started middle school snd 2 days before middle school started i got braces. i was really worried too, i call it afraid of the unknown; i didn%26#039;t know what people would think of me and i was scared of all the things that had not happened yet. people won%26#039;t make fun of you so you have nothing to worry about. although i didn%26#039;t like it people may ask you to show them but that is all. and they really do move your teeth quickly. i have had mine on for 4 days and they have moved 4 teeth into poition. i hope you take my advice and i hope i could help you.
Reply:don%26#039;t beat yourself up about it...I%26#039;m starting high school with braces and most likely everyone will have bad teeth or braces....just think about it this way: in a few years you%26#039;ll have nice teeth and laugh about how scared you were to be seen with bad teeth when you see all the people around you with bad teeth...good luck!

If you were I high school girl, would you rather go toothless or have ugly buck teeth that hurt all the time?
I%26#039;m 15 and I had option %26quot;B%26quot;(ugly buck teeth that hurt), but I decided to go with option%26quot;A%26quot; after a lot of them got loose and I lost some front ones. Which would you choose? Why? Oh, yeah, no dental coverage and not a lot of money, so we didn%26#039;t have many choices that were anything close to affordable. Hope to get some fake teeth in the spring maybe.
If you were I high school girl, would you rather go toothless or have ugly buck teeth that hurt all the time?
Bless your heart. I honestly feel for you. When I was in high school, I didn%26#039;t have perfect teeth either, and my family didn%26#039;t have insurance or anything, and my Mom was the only one that worked because my Dad was disabled. There was 6 in our family. Us kids all got jobs at early ages. Just tell anybody that asks or makes fun of you (hopefully noone will, that is cruel) that you are having dental work done, and hopefully before long your problems will be fixed. AND REMIND THEM THAT THEY AREN%26#039;T PERFECT EITHER. Some peoples imperfections are on the inside and other people%26#039;s are on the outside.
Reply:well I am fourteen and i have large two front teeth and I still get alot of girls at school. Whatever you do do not go toothless and you will eventually be able to get dentures. Report It
Reply:You%26#039;re in high school?... Oh my god... Send me your email, that is so sad, I would honestly pay for your teeth.
I%26#039;m serious, that%26#039;s not a joke.
Reply:Toothless is scary....but buck teeth is embarrassing. Can%26#039;t choose. Hope i won%26#039;t have to come to that terrible decision. I%26#039;m sorry about your teeth though.
Reply:Being a Professional Fluffer may be your best shot.
Reply:I am so sorry for you. Was that a result of an illness? Maybe you can get coverage if it was side effect of a medication or treatment. I just hope it%26#039;s not a result of bad dental hygiene- that%26#039;s just sad.
Toothless is slightly better because you can have fake teeth put in.
Reply:If it was very painful I would opt to not having them. That is a hard decision. Hopefully you will have some fake ones soon.
Reply:i would hate to have to make that decision. sorry about your teeth and take that person up on their offer to buy you some dentures
Reply:Honey, if you have Medicaid (or your family can apply for it), many dentists take it and may be able to pay for your teeth.
Reply:try not to listen to the a**holes that make fun of you and make the best of what you can....life is a garden, dig it....
Reply:don%26#039;t worry, honey ----- you will sooner or later get dentures, and they don%26#039;t make them %26quot;buck%26quot;. When you do, you might ask them to make small imperfections so they will look more real.
Reply:Are you thpeaking to me?
Reply:Do not pull your teeth if you can help it. If it is money you need to get them fixed I know someone personally very rich that gives money away for things like this.
Reply:Why would buck teeth hurt?
I had buck teeth up until middle school when I finally got braces. It was the BRACES that hurt!
Reply:Are you in the U.S? If so, could you get on Medi-cal? I am not sure how it works, but you could probably qualify, and let state pay for fthem. - I wish you luck.

Should I go out with a girl even if she has buck teeth?
We%26#039;re takling serious buck teeth here. She could eat an apple through a chain link fence. You could drag her by the feet and rake leaves at the same time. I suppose they would be good for opening beer bottles and in a pinch, stapeling boxes together, but I am worried about that, how do I say it, woman to man thing? I don%26#039;t want a bunch of puncture wounds right below my navel. Does thee risk offset the joy?
Should I go out with a girl even if she has buck teeth?
Hmmmm.....this is a toughie. Knowing you, she has to truly be a hottie for you to even be contemplating the issue. So I think the only thing you have left to do is.......break her teeth. No no no....don%26#039;t get me wrong. I%26#039;m not advocating %26quot;hitting.%26quot; You%26#039;re going to have to be subtle about it. If she %26quot;leads with her teeth%26quot; then I%26#039;m thinking running her into an obstacle might not be such a hard thing to accomplish. Tell her that running blindfolded through a forest of tall trees is a total aphrodisiac for you. Or perhaps you could take her swimming and tell her you wanna race to the end of the pool ............uhm......blindfolded. Then there%26#039;s always boxing. Tell her you think female boxers are just totally hot. Tell her that you so need her to replace Tonya Harding in your heart. You know she%26#039;ll go for it. The trick then is to pay off her opponent and put a brick in her glove.
Once her teeth are shattered.........she%26#039;ll merely have to pay for a little dental work and you%26#039;re off scott free.
You seriously don%26#039;t have the right mindset for devious dating tactics. You need some training. Have the men on this site taught you nothing???

Dentures aren%26#039;t nearly as bad as some people want you to think. Ever notice the people telling you not to get rid of your teeth and get dentures still have their real teeth? Does invisalign work on overbites and buck teeth?
My lil sister has really buck teeth in the front and she really wants to get invisalign.......
Does invisalign work on overbites and buck teeth?
Invisalign may provide some correction to your sister%26#039;s overbite and protrusive teeth but perhaps not the best result could be achieved with the aligners.
Find an orthodontist who provides a no-cost consultation and find out for sure.
There are so many factors to your question to give you a definitive answer. Her overbite could be an overjet or a deepbite; the protrusion could be related to her skeletal development and not the teeth.
The consultation should provide all the answers you need to make an informed decision.
The commercials give the impression Invisalign will make traditional (metal) braces a thing of the past. I rarely say never, and won%26#039;t now but I%26#039;m inclined to say, I believe that will not happen. They have limited application and optimal results can be achieved when indicated. A patient should not want a compromised result unless orthognathic surgery is indicated. That%26#039;s another question/situation.
I believe a patient should get what they pay for and have their expectations met. A consultation will help clarify both.
You%26#039;re sweet for looking after your %26quot;lil sister%26quot; as you are. All the best to you two!
Reply:Invisalign is for minor cases only. They cost more then regular braces. Ask your orthodontist if you qualify.
Reply:Invisalign will work, but it is more expensive. I have Invisalign and I had the same thing: Jet Bite with a gap in between the front teeth. Depending on the severity of the rest of her teeth, invisalign may not work. Check with your orthodontist, sometimes you can be put on a braces and invisalign combo - like me!

How can i make my buck teeth look smaller?
Not much of anything. That is a problem only a cosmetic dentist will be able to help you with.

What does it feel like to have major buck teeth?
I%26#039;ve always wondered what having buck teeth felt like. Anyone out there capable of shedding some details? What does it feel like when you%26#039;re just resting your mouth? Eating? Kissing? Do you find that people who are attracted to you like you because of your teeth or besides the fact? And, finally, does anyone out there have really pushed out (and up?) bucked teeth and still suck their thumb?
What does it feel like to have major buck teeth?
It%26#039;s not the greatest feeling in the world.
Put it this way, when you rest your mouth you have to strain your lips to cover your teeth and it pulls on the muscles in your jaws, this is why sometimes they just stick out because the person is no longer able to properly close their mouth. This really annoys you and a lot of times you become self conscious of it.
Usually buck teeth cause you to talk strange, sometimes like a slur and a bad lisp. This really gets annoying.
Really eating is no problem unless you have jaw pain due to the overbite.
With kissing, depending on the individual%26#039;s overbite depth, can cause you to bump teeth with the other person or hit their lip.
I don%26#039;t really think anyone is attracted to buck teeth, they are not attractive in the least little bit no matter who you are. You are a strange one if you do.
I used to suck my thumb and that is how I had buck teeth in the first place. I wish I would%26#039;ve quit sooner than I did, but either way I%26#039;m glad I no longer do it. It didn%26#039;t end there though, now I have to deal with tongue thrusting..

Reply:Want a carrot, Doc? Seriously, buck teeth are a pain in the ****, get them knocked out or something, unattractive as fook am afraid. Try nibbling carrots.
Reply:Perhaps a dentist could help you with this type of question-
its probably uncomfortable for the persons concerned.I believe modern dentistry can improve things, thats if the person is bothered by them.

Will i get buck teeth when i get braces?
i am going to need braces right away and i was wondering how do you know how the braces will loo on you. like how would i know if i will get buck teeth when i have them
Will i get buck teeth when i get braces?
What? If you have buck teeth, then braces aren%26#039;t going to fix them. If you don%26#039;t, then they won%26#039;t give you buck teeth eaither. Braces are there to STRAIGHTEN your teeth and somewhat FIX your bite.
Reply:Why do you think you%26#039;ll get buck teeth from braces?
BTW, contrary to what another poster said, braces will absolutely fix buck teeth as well as straightening them. (My brother is an orthodontist.)
Reply:You don%26#039;t know what they%26#039;re going to look like on you, but if you%26#039;re worried about it, you could do an invisable straightening system like invisalign. They%26#039;re more expensive, but if it means that much to you to look the same, then it%26#039;s something to consider.

I have a pile of skin behind my buck teeth?
I had braces for 3 months to correct my buck teeth with a big hole in the middle. Now the hole is half way better, but I have a huge pile of ugly skin behind my front teeth. Must be the skin from between my buck teeth beeing pushed, but I want to know is it going to disappear someday. It hurts when I brush my teeth!!

dude that is so gross!!!! ask your dentist
Reply:tell ur mom about it so she can bring you you to the dentist!!
Reply:Let your parents know so you can go to your dentist and they will let you know. My sis had braces for buck teeth but that never happened. So its best to get to the dentist right away
Reply:eww, what did you eat? spit that skin out!
Reply:I%26#039;m sure it will. When my wisdom teeth were growing in, there was a flap of skin in the middle of the tooth because the middle was the last to grow in and that went away. So you should be good. Just try not to irritate it too much.
Reply:It should go away, but ask the doctor to be sure. If it doesn%26#039;t, it can be taken away pretty easy with todays technology!

Oral Surgery Buck Teeth?
Is it possible to have surgery to fix buck teeth? I tried braces before but gave up on them because they were horrible and I could not eat with them.
Oral Surgery Buck Teeth?
This is the kind of question that can%26#039;t be answered without being seen by a professional who can look in your mouth and at your x-rays. If by buck teeth you mean your 2 front teeth are flared out, then its likely braces are the way to go. If you only want those teeth fixed you could get a consultation with an orthodontist to see what can be just done about them instead of comprehensive treatment.

Have you had buck teeth then got braces? I've been made fun of and now have braces?
i have buck teeth and have been made fun of. I finally and recently got braces and I wonder if my teeth look better. I never smile with teeth and cover my mouth. I just want to know if it will get better?
Have you had buck teeth then got braces? I%26#039;ve been made fun of and now have braces?
I had the same thing. Almost as soon as I got braces, I had more confidence. Just knowing I had braces on to fix it boost my self esteem. Keep up with the appts and use additional bands or headgear as your Ortho says. And in a short time, when you get them off, you%26#039;ll see straighter teeth. Good luck!=)
Reply:If you go to all of your appointments on time and do exactly what your orthodontist tells you concerning your treatment, your teeth should turn out fine. You usually won%26#039;t see results over night, braces can take years to do their job, but you will slowly start to see results as time goes on. So just go on and smile, don%26#039;t hold back.
Reply:It is worth it definately in the long run.
You are lucky enough to be able to have them, so look at this as a short term inconvienence to a long term issue that is now being fixed.
You will forget they are there by the end of it, just stay natural because you might be drawing more attention to them by being so self-conscious.
Good Luck and I hope you are happy with the result!!

Fixing tongue-thrusting/buck teeth?
Have had four buck teeth since early teens. My weak jaw makes the overbite all the more noticeable. My parents insisted on braces, which are best for buck teeth created by thumb suckers. Mine are the result of my tongue always pressing against the back of the upper front four. 3.5 yrs of braces had NO effect. I can%26#039;t close my lips over them and can%26#039;t kiss without injuring the woman. Any legit options?
Fixing tongue-thrusting/buck teeth?
If braces didn%26#039;t solve your problem, you should go to an orthodontist and have them examine your mouth and tell you your options. There may be other ways to move the teeth, and it%26#039;s worth looking into since it affects your life alot. Best of luck.

Will braces fix buck-teeth?
My 2 front teeth are really rather large, and well there buck-teeth...Will braces fix buck teeth if i were to get them?
Will braces fix buck-teeth?
They are fixing mine, and the result is AMAZING!
Reply:Not necessarily, but it will clear up all spaces and make everything look more in proportion. You would probably need something like veneers to make all of your teeth the same level (if the front two are much larger) but if it is just spacing that makes them look like buck teeth then you can have that taken care of (or close to) with braces.
Reply:Braces straighten your teeth but usually people grow into their buck teeth. I did.
Reply:No. Growing up I had braces, a cemented in retainer and a bumper. None of which helped my %26quot;buck-teeth%26quot; or overbite. I had them on for three years....Not a fun part of my life!
Reply:Braces will fix the problem for sure!
Reply:probably. If not, just get vineres put on. It might actually cheaper doing vineres! Hope this helps!

Reply:yes it will fix it and will stay if you wear the retainer
Reply:Oh yeah. No problem.
Reply:braces will fix your overbite, i think that%26#039;s more or less what you%26#039;re referring to. It%26#039;s when your top teeth protrude too much over the bottom. this is turn will straighten everything out and might make your bigger teeth appear more normal. Obviously they won%26#039;t shrink your teeth if you are too big. It is for correcting the positioning of the teeth. If yours are straight i%26#039;d find out about veneers.
Reply:Yes it will. I had bucked teeth , and I got braces. The trick is that you need to get some teeth removed from the back of your mouth and as the braces move your teeth to close the spaces left by the missing teeth it will correct your over-bite.
I love my new smile.

i think my 3 year old daughter has buck teeth, cuz her upper teeth go out farther when her mouth is closed....can this be fixed? i had a friend that has buck teeth and she was always being picked on, she wouldnt smile cuz people would laugh when they see it.. she was always getting beat up..and she went suicide years ago...but can they be fixed? i wouldnt want my daughter to go thru any of that

its ok for now when she gets her adult teeth THEN you can always get braces. hey you never know once she losses these she may not have the same problem. dont worry she%26#039;ll be fine just dont lead her to believe that its ugly or abnormal. it will get fixed before its really important

Reply:go get her braces despite she is 3 that will fix everything
Reply:Modern dentistry can do just about anything. Of course they can be fixed, but isn%26#039;t your 3 year old daughter going to lose those front teeth anyway? When the permanent ones grow in, a dentist can even them up by drilling them down.
Reply:buck teeth (overbite) can be fixed with orthodontic work.
definately wait until her permanant teeth come in though, it may not be as bad as you think as she gets older.
Reply:Sure. There is a whole field of dentistry called Orthodontics that specializes in the correction of misaligned teeth.
I had an overbite when I was a kid. A couple of years in braces straightened me out.
Reply:Yes, but you need to take her to a dentist right away. An orthodontist can fix it at a later age, but a friend of mine took her daughter to the dentist at an early age, and they used spacers and fixed some problems that would have cost 1000%26#039;s to fix later. Also, sometimes they grow out of the ugly teeth stage. A good dentist will be able to help
Reply:she is only three. wait for her baby teeth to fall out and grow adult teeth. make sure you bring her to the dentist every year. if the problem still persists in her pre-teen or teenage years, you can have the dentist fix her teeth. its expensive though. start saving.
Reply:Yes, her overbite can be fixed but not at the age of 3. She needs to have all of her adult front teeth in before they will fix them.
Reply:First she is three . these are her baby teeth .... By the time she is 10- 13 with many check ups from the denist .. he will be able to fix them then... Bu Really? Allow her to grow up, most kids eventually grow into those big teeth they get when in the tweens. Everything will be okay ...
By the way? She is not to young to visit the dentist now ... go get her teeth cleans so she will be comfortable at the dentist office. Good Luck
Reply:aww sorry about your friend. yes i believe it can. when i was little, i had a slight form of this- a few of my teeth went past the front teeth. as per the orthidontist%26#039;s request i had to push some of them back with a popsicle stick. (dont worry it doesnt hurt) i would definetly go to the dentist to figure out for sure though...but to answer your question, yes it should be able to be fixed. :)
Reply:Well if she is 3 years old then don%26#039;t worry about it, my mom took me to the dentist when I was 6 because she was worried about my teeth, it was just a waste of time you can%26#039;t fix any teeth when her teeth haven%26#039;t all came out and grown back. Just wait until puberty then you will see how their teeth turn out, and if it%26#039;s buck they can wear braces.
Reply:tell her that she is beautiful no matter what!!!
braces, invisilign (invisible braces) or venners are options to correct buck teeth
but before you even begin to decide on anything you must talk to her dentist....and from there an orthodontist to find out if she will need anything like that for sure and if so, what type will work best for her
Reply:Buck teeth can be %26quot;fixed%26quot;. Braces will straighten and align teeth. Buck teeth are filed down to the desired size. It%26#039;s a relitively painless processes. It just sounds and smells weird when it%26#039;s happening.
Reply:it%26#039;s called an overbite..... and if she visits the ortho and dentist as reccommended she will have a beautiful smile. it%26#039;s not the only important thing
Reply:OK, first of all everyone%26#039;s upper teeth should sit in front of their lower teeth when her jaw is shut, unless they have an underbite. But not very far.
Now if her teeth stick out extremely far she probably has an over bite. It it%26#039;s all of her top teeth (her top jaw) then it%26#039;s an overbite and should be able to be corrected by a dentist/oral surgeon. If the rest of her teeth are in good position and only the front two teeth protrude (so-called %26quot;buck teeth%26quot;) this can be corrected with braces. If there is a space or gap between the front two teeth, they can clip the tendon that runs between those teeth, (the piece the connects to the inside of your lip when --you can feel it when you pull your top lip away from your teeth).
Either way, you need to take her to a dentist and find out if it is something that is abnormal and if so, what needs to be done to correct it,
Hope this helps!!
Reply:Absolutely they can be fixed. Take her to see an orthodontist, most nowadays have payment plans.
It will be so much easier to start while she%26#039;s young then to wait.
It is more painful the older you are when you get braces.
Reply:According to the American Association of Orthodontists, children should start going to the orthodontist around age 7, because the orthodontist can see if she has any bite problems, and can correct it early. The buck teeth could be caused by a lower jaw that is not positioned correctly, or is not growing as fast as the upper jaw. I recommend taking her to an orthodontist right away. They may not be able to start treatment at 3 years old, but they can keep track of her jaw growth, and maybe start treatment around 6 or 7. The sooner her problems are resolved, the happier she%26#039;ll be.

Can buck teeth be fixed?
its ok for now when she gets her adult teeth THEN you can always get braces. hey you never know once she losses these she may not have the same problem. dont worry she%26#039;ll be fine just dont lead her to believe that its ugly or abnormal. it will get fixed before its really important

Is Buck Teeth cute?
I kinda have Buck teeth but it%26#039;s a total of 4 teeth that%26#039;s protruded. I next to each Buck tooth! and I have a gap too. I%26#039;m wonderin if I should get it fixed. It resulted when I fell down a flight of stairs as a kid.
Is Buck Teeth cute?
I think overbites can be cute. But you should talk to your dentist about it, there may be considerations other than appearance.

Reply:yes you should. If you don%26#039;t like braces, get invisible ones.
Reply:To each his own. If your teeth bother you, then get them fixed. If you don%26#039;t have a problem with your teeth, then leave them the way they are.
Reply:If personal appearance is important to you and you can afford it I would suggest that you get them fixed.

The best person to ask this question is an orthodontist.

HELP! My teeth are becoming buck at 48 yrs old!?
A very strange phenomena is happening to me!
For the past few weeks I have this strange feeling/awareness of my teeth/bite. My upper and lower teeth have a strange sensation, like it is moving forward (similar to when I had braces on %26amp; the dentist was moving them in place).
I noticed that my upper teeth seem to be beginning to plow into my upper lip! It feels like they are becoming buck. My teeth were not buck as a teenager, they were just crooked. 3 of my siblings had severely buck teeth %26amp; had teeth pulled. They used a palette expander on me because they told me that if they pulled 4 teeth I would have a pan face in my 50%26#039;s which would make me look old. He gave me this horrible full mouth rubber exercise retainer which I hated and my teeth moved back somewhat crooked again.
Any ideas what my teeth are doing now and why my bite is changing? I very concerned. Could it be due to a medical condition. I don%26#039;t have dental insurance right now so can%26#039;t run to the dentist.
HELP! My teeth are becoming buck at 48 yrs old!?
You did not mention anything about your back teeth. One dental phenomenon that could be causing this is called %26quot;posterior bite collapse.%26quot; Usually this is what happens when you have had some back teeth removed, but not replaced. (I%26#039;m not talking about having teeth removed for braces, because that space is then closed.) You can also be grinding so much that you are causing the same thing. Your front teeth are not made to bear the weight of chewing without support of all of your back teeth and they start to %26quot;buck out%26quot; or flare in the anterior region.
It would seem unlikely, but this could also be related to a new tongue habit. In a younger person, we would routinely look for a tongue thrust, but if you never had one, it would seem odd that you started doing this at age 48. The tongue is a MIGHTY force, though, when it comes to moving teeth. Consider any changes in habit that might be significant.
If you can not find a dental cause, yes there are medical conditions that lead to expanding bone and the accompanying flaring of the teeth. Search on %26quot;acromegaly%26quot; and you will find all kinds of information on this hormonal condition that can lead to flaring of the teeth. I think this is the most common underlying condition, but I%26#039;m not an expert on this topic.
Reply:%26quot;It could happen,%26quot; but without seeing your teeth, I can%26#039;t really say... This would be more typical if you were missing the first molar right in the middle of your arch. Report It
Reply:Find a dentist who will work with you on payments, a change in your bite could indicate gum disease, and if you wait much longer, you won%26#039;t have any teeth to be concerned about.
Reply:Your whole body is changing- its morphing and will continute to morph until you die.

Reply:You may have an underlying systemic problem. A complete history and physical might shed light on something. There are countless medical problems that affect the teeth and gums. See your primary care physician for an exam and/or referrals to a specialist(s) to rule out systemic causes. Then see your dentist for a complete oral exam. It sounds like it COULD be chronic generalized periodontitis which will cause your teeth to shift. Depending on the diagnosis, the are usually several treatment options available to you. Sorry about the no insurance. Hope this helps.
Reply:I can%26#039;t say that I know what is happening to your teeth, but I can help you afford getting it checked out and fixed. There is a very in-expensive but high-quality dental plan that can help you with that. Reply:I just got my retainers and decided to read up some facts about them (I know, kind of weird) but anyway, I found out that people%26#039;s teeth do shift and change (even if not very noticeable) as people age. I would say that the change in the position, alignment, etc., of the teeth would be more drastic in a person who doesn%26#039;t have naturally straight teeth. I was reading that that%26#039;s why some people have their retainers for life, usually wearing it every night, every other night, a few months in a year even til old age (unless you get something cosmetically done). That would be more likely if you had crooked teeth and had braces.
So basically, what I%26#039;m trying to say is that people%26#039;s teeth naturally shift with age. But don%26#039;t worry, I%26#039;m sure things will work out. There are so many options to help straighten and %26quot;fix%26quot; teeth.

be blessed cause there are a lot of people with NO TEETH just be happy with what you have and think about the people that dont have any i think you dont need any you just think you might need them you%26#039;re fine the way you are think about that mary j blige song %26quot;just fine%26quot;
Reply:The only way to move your teeth is with braces, sorry, I know you probably wanted to hear something else. Why don%26#039;t you want braces? expense? pain? You are so young, now is a great time to get the beautiful smile you want. See an orthodontist. Maybe you can be treated with retainers. Usually braces are needed to correct anything other than minor tooth movement.
Reply:Sorry honey... but you got two options...
1. Braces
2. Pull those BUCK TEETH out...
Choose your answer carefully...
Reply:Yep, braces. Its never too late: I%26#039;ve seen people well into middle-age with braces.

Buck teeth???
what is the quickest way of getting it fixed with out braces, I been teased and made fun of it all my life about it and it still gets to me, I can%26#039;t even smile with my mouth open cause I dont want people to make fun of me and want people to treat me nicely so I put on a forse smile with my mouth closed and mostly have my mouth closed, when I look in the mirror I dont like what I see......
Buck teeth???
Braces are really the only way to straighten out that problem Im afraid! They do have the invisible ones now so that you dont have to just wear metal. But both are quite expensive. Never look at yourself and put yourself down! And never listen to the crap others say either! Bully%26#039;s are just insecure wrecks that they feel they have to make someone else look small so they can look big! Good luck to you sweetheart
Reply:well braces are the fastest way, also there are braces that you only wear at night... the only other way would be to have your teeth filed down and capped , PS.... smile... don%26#039;t be afraid of what others think , every one has something about them they don%26#039;t like or feel others notice... best wishes!
Reply:THERE IS ONLY ONE WAY AND THAT IS BRACES SEE IF YOUR ABLE TO GET THE INVISIBLE BRACES. I RATHER HAVE THE NAME METAL MOUTH FOR ALITTLE WHILE THAN BUCKY BEAVER FOR LIFE.
Reply:i have to say braces. i know the feeling of not wanting to smile and laugh. i used to cover my mouth whenver i smiled. it hurt when people made fun of me for my teeth. at this time, everyone called me %26quot;the witch%26quot; which has something to do with my last name... and i got braces. before i got them i had to have 11 teeth pulled (8 permenent and 3 baby teeth) and then everyone called me %26quot;rat%26quot; i hated it. after i got them no one at all made fun of me. my braces make me, and when i get them off i will have a wonderful smile. they are DEFINITALYL worth it. im getting mine off this year. iv had them on for about 2 years now because i had a lot of problems with them.
tip- if you get braces, if someone says something rude to you, just say %26quot;my teeth cost more then yours!!! I GOT A GRILL, BABY!!!%26quot; and they%26#039;ll laugh like crazy. right now my teeth cost 11,000 dollars because i had to get put to sleep when i got my teeth pulled
good luck!
Reply:my ex boyfriend%26#039;s teeth are like that and girls love him!! i have no idea why, but you should either get braces (cause its the only solution) or learn to love %26#039;em!!
Reply:You%26#039;re not going to be made fun of for braces, EVERYBODY in grades 4-10 has/had/will have them. Braces are a VERY good investment especially with people like you. There is no better/safer way. Well, if you want some confidence, I won%26#039;t make fun of you for buck teeth because it happens.
Reply:Sorry, braces are it, conventional braces. Having veneers or crowns will not do it for sever over jet. The invisalign braces typically are for minor adjustments not overjet/overbite. I had braces at 25. I have patients in their 50%26#039;s with them. You are not too old. Anyone who would make fun of someone for trying to improve their self image is an idiot and not worth your time or worry. Go see an orthodontist. You wont regret it.

Buck teeth???
what can a dentist do about them???, can they like drill them down, and make them close togehter. make them even with the rest of your teeth
Buck teeth???
braces may help but no you dont drill them down
Reply:They can be fixed by wearing braces.
Reply:they can dye them another color so you can flaunt them and be confident
Reply:braces is the only thing or pull them and put fake teeth in.
Reply:They can do a course of braces and then put veneers on your front teeth.
Reply:I work at a dental office and if you think your teeth are %26quot;too long%26quot; a dentist can file them down. You always want you central incisors (two center teeth) longer than your laterals (on either side of the center teeth) So don%26#039;t let the dentist go too far.
Reply:How old are you? My face eventually %26quot;grew into%26quot; my teeth, and now they aren%26#039;t even noticeable unless I get super happy and smile and giggle a whole bunch

Buck teeth?
The two of my front teeth are kinda big. All my other teeth are very straight and are perfectly fine. It%26#039;s just the two front I%26#039;m concerned about. Are braces really neccesary? Is there anything I can do besides braces?
Buck teeth?
Are they just kind of big? If so your dentist can actually shave it down a bit to match your mouth.
Talk to your dentist and He%26#039;ll give you options.
Reply:Braces will not make them appear smaller. Braces only move teeth around in the arch. You can however have Porcelain Veneers made. You will need to do the four front teeth to change the size of the two centrals. This would entail making the laterals a bit larger and the centrals a bit smaller. The dentist would have to prep the teeth a bit before the new ones can be made. And for God%26#039;s sake, do not have the work done by a cut rate dentist. Pick up the phone book and find a dental lab that does %26quot;Crown and Bridge%26quot;, then call them for a referral. Tell them you dad was dental tech in some far away town and that he told you to call a dental lab for a referral. That should get your foot in the door. (They sometimes don%26#039;t like to give referrals for fear of making someone mad at them, other dentists.)
I am a dental tech and have been for 33 years.
